Abstract Title: Epidemiology of Violence and Suicide Risk in Senegal (Sub-Saharan Africa) : A Nationwide Population-Based Study

Biography: I am a Professor of Public Health and Epidemiology at Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar and head of the Mental Health Division at the Ministry of Health since 2019. I am a psychiatrist (MD) and a specialist in public health and epidemiology (PhD). My expertise spans mental health, maternal and child health, infectious diseases, nutrition, and health data management, with advanced skills in biostatistics. I led a national study on HIV, STIs, and tuberculosis among individuals with disabilities and have provided psychological support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. My current research focuses on innovative neuroscience techniques applied to artificial intelligence to enhance medico-psychological data utilization and improve mental health outcomes.
